Abstract

Context. The development of curricular designs at the university level must be based on previous data, for this reason the evaluation of the graduate profile is a prominent need. Objectives. The study seeks to analyze students' responses about their level of agreement with the development of their competencies related to their graduate profile.  Method. The research was carried out based on the survey methodology, for which purpose a relevant instrument was developed. Results. The students report that they have the competences related to the graduate profile, although difficulties are revealed in statistical training and academic production. Conclusions. The students' opinion is fundamental for decision making in university management; therefore, a clear and solid idea about the effectiveness of the service provided by this institution can be built by analyzing the graduate profile from the student's perspective.
