Abstract
The objective of this research is to determine the level of learning of parallelogram areas with students in the 4th grade of secondary education, with the mediation of GeoGebra software. The didactic sequence of the research is quasi-experimental and consists of six activities, each activity is developed in one week with a single section composed of 19 students, who were administered at the beginning and at the end of the execution of the research a development test through the use of GeoGebra, where students used GeoGebra tools to graph, identify its elements, demonstrate their properties and calculate the area of parallelograms. The results of the entry test show that 94.7% of the students are at the beginning level and 5.3% are in process; meanwhile, in the exit test 5.3%, 73.7% and 21.1% are at the beginning, expected achievement and outstanding achievement levels respectively, which shows us that GeoGebra mediates in the learning of geometry. To corroborate the result, the hypothesis test was performed through Kruskall Wallis, whose result is Z = -3.733 with a significance level of 5% and p= 0.00. The result obtained shows that the learning of areas of parallelograms with the mediation of GeoGebra software, allows students to reach regular to outstandinglevels of learning. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
