Abstract
Social skills are essential for students as they enable effective interactions with peers and teachers, enriching their learning experience and fostering an environment of trust and respect. This study aimed to determine the relationship between school coexistence and social skills in secondary school students at the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Educational Institution in Villa Rica – Oxapampa, Pasco, 2022. The research was basic in type, correlational in level, and employed a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The study included a representative sample of 76 students. Two questionnaires were applied, and reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s Alpha, yielding 0.956 for school coexistence and 0.934 for social skills. Both instruments achieved 90% validity through expert judgment. The findings indicated that the levels of school coexistence were predominantly outstanding, while social skills levels were moderate. It was concluded that school coexistence is directly, moderately, and highly significantly related to social skills in secondary school students at the Villa Rica secondary educational institution.
