Abstract

This report shows a sequence of two tasks using tables of values and graphs to mobilize the notion of indeterminate limits in a mathematics course with first cycle students of a university in Lima-Peru. As theoretical framework we consider the Theory of Semiotic Representation Records and the methodology is qualitative. The Casio fx-991 ClassWiz calculator is used as a medium. In the students' productions, we analyze how they coordinate semiotic representation registers. In addition, the results reveal thatthey coordinate natural language, algebraic, tabular and graphic registers. They also show the relevanceof the digital technology used.
