Abstract

From the results obtained in the Student Census Evaluation (ECE), it has been possible to obtain an approximation of the achievements and difficulties that students have in formulating or creating mathematical problems. From this scenario, the workshop seeks to demonstrate how the creation of problems allows the development of students' intuition and creativity, their abilities to establish relationships, interpret conditions, argue their positions, and, in addition, use their mathematical knowledge in a flexible manner. The workshop is aimed at primary and secondary school teachers and will have an active, participatory and practical character. In groups, participants will identify the structure that every problem should have, and the different situations that can be used in the classroom to formulate a problem, taking into account the cognitive processes that are put into play when creating and solving problems, based on the evidence that is available in the standardized evaluations.
