Abstract

The workshop focuses on a replication study (Aguilar, 2020) where participants will solve mathematical problems applied to a physical context such as the motion of the planets, re-signifying the Fourier Trigonometric Series. The proposed tasks arise from an epistemological analysis of the series (Farfán and Romero, 2019), which is compatible with the principles of the Questioning the World paradigm, defined in the Anthropological Theory of the Didactic (Chevallard, 1999). The audience considered is mathematics or physics teachers, or also advanced students, since mathematical notions may appear in the development of the tasks: trigonometric functions, series, integrals, functions, successions of functions and Cartesian coordinate systems.
