We will present a synthesis of the state of the art of the investigations carried out, from the Didactics of Mathematics, on the teaching and learning of linear algebra. We observe that a group of them emphasize the importance of conversions between different registers of representation, while other research groups highlight the levels of description, points of view and modes of reasoning. Second, we will present research based on historical and epistemological analysis. All this proves the richness of linear algebra as a field of research in Didactics of Mathematics.
