Abstract

Objective:The research was guided to identify the use that gives the adolescents to the Information and communications technology in rural areas of Junin region. Method:The research is an applied type with a descriptive level; it was used a descriptive, comparative and statistical method; the design was descriptive. The sample was of 889 adolescents, between men and women, in the provinces of Chanchamayo, Chupaca, Concepción, Huancayo, Jauja, Junin, Satipo, Yauli, and Tarma; it was use the technical survey and a questionnaire as an instrument to gather data. Results:86% of adolescents use a computer, 85% of adolescents use the Internet, 82% of adolescents have a cell phone, 57% of adolescents play video games, and 92% of adolescents watch TV. Conclusion:the use that gives the adolescents to the Information and communications technology in rural areas of Junin region is significant, so they are adolescents who are immersed in the "Information Society".
