The sample comprised 240 students. Results revealed that the percentage of digital competence development among engineering students reached 31.25%, while in the case of social sciences students, it was 37.92%. Ultimately, it was concluded that the level of development of digital competences between both groups of students, engineering and social sciences did not show significant differences.
