Abstract
Objective: To determine the level of eco-efficiency at the Universidad Nacional de Huancavelica central office. Methods: Observation and description methods were used; the design used was simple descriptive. The study sample consisted of the six faculties of the central headquarters of the National University of Huancavelica; the data collection form consisted of the eco-efficiency baseline matrix, with the following components: energy, water, waste generation, biological diversity, land use planning, adaptation and/or mitigation of climate change, air quality and soil quality. Results: the average of the indicators used was 0.86, equivalent to 1, which indicates that the level of eco-efficiency is 1; in other words, the level of eco-efficiency at headquarters is medium. Conclusions: the level of eco-efficiency is medium; the main health problems derived from eco-efficiency are: the effect of UV-b radiation; another potential problem is malnutrition, due to the fact that the student population, mainly, consumes low quality food that does not contribute to good academic performance.
