Abstract

The main objective of the research and writing of this article was to compare the volumes obtained through topographic surveying (drone and total station). To this end, a Leica TS06 Plus total station and a Phamthon 4 PRO v2.0 drone were used to carry out topographic surveys using both techniques and calculate the volumes of material removed in the sponging area at km 10+630 of the JU-103 departmental road. The result was that the volume obtained by topographic survey with a total station was 141.65 m3, which was less than that obtained by topographic survey with a drone, which was 143.06 m3. The research carried out is of an applied nature, and the results showed that there is a small but significant difference in the volume calculated in the sponging zone.
