In this study we characterized and determined the kinetic parameters related to dry matter (DM), degradability of native forages: Festuca dolichophylla (Fd), Sipa obtusa (Sob), Calamagrostis sp (Csp), Stipa ichu (Sich) and Muhlenbergia ligularis (Mli), in the first stomach of 3 alpacas with permanent fistula, during the winter months. 2,500 to 2,505 g of plant material were incubated for 6, 24 and 72 hours (h), calculating the soluble fractions at t0. Forage type affected DM degradability at 2, 5 and 8% /h passage rates. Potentially degradable insoluble (b) and indigestible (i) coefficients showed minimal variation in DM, with low degradation rates (c). The winter months caused the (c) of DM to vary between 0.3 and 1%/h, where Fd, Sob and Cps, showed coefficients higher than 50% at a passage rate of 2% /h, which classifies them as medium quality resources.
