This research aimed to determine the relationship between the communal statute and the regulation of access to mining resources in the territory of the native people of Pueblo Libre, in the year 2014. The population consisted of 482 individuals, including community members and authorities of Pueblo Libre. A sample of 214 individuals was taken, using a non-probabilistic sampling method. Data were collected through the survey technique, employing a questionnaire as the instrument. Regarding the results, a significant relationship was found with a significance level of 0.01 (two-tailed), indicating a mutual correspondence between both variables. It is concluded that there was a significant relationship between the communal statute and the regulation of access to mining resources in the territory of the native community of Pueblo Libre.
